Session 4 will continue with covering DFM guidelines related to fabrication covering injection molding and castings. The session will then cover the relationship between tolerances, process capability and the impact of producibility. Tolerance optimization techniques will be covered. The session will cover how to incorporate DFM/A into an organization's development process. Finally, a simple spreadsheet based methodology will be presented for analyzing and improving the manufacturability of a product design.
